General craft room — how we pick and size them

Most craft rooms are not single subject rooms. There is a sewing project on one end of the table, a half painted model on the other, and a bead board in between. This aisle is for the supplies all three borrow. Hot glue guns and glue sticks, craft knives and spare blades, self healing cutting mats in A4 to A1, metal rulers with a non slip back, tweezers, clamps and helping hands.

What sits next to what

Storage is the other half. Sorting boxes with adjustable dividers, bead storage tubes, stackable trays, labelled drawer units and tool rolls. Model and hobby building tools — sprue cutters, files, sanding sticks, pin vices — sit here because they do precise work for every other aisle as well. Buy the storage before you need it and the room keeps working; buy it after and you spend a weekend sorting.

Questions we get at the glue guns shelf

Are the glue sticks a standard diameter?

They are 7mm mini sticks unless the listing says full size. Mixing the two jams a gun, so every pack states the barrel it belongs to.

What is the silicone mat actually for?

Hot glue, resin and paint all release from it once cured, so it saves the table. It also takes a craft knife without shedding fibres into the cut.

Do the kits include a project to make?

They include a parts list and the sizes, not a project. We would rather sell you the parts than tell you what to do with them.
