The office furniture, lighting & electronics aisle at the PATIKIL counter

Office furniture, lighting & electronics — how we pick and size them

An office chair that wobbles, a monitor two inches too low and a desk lamp that throws glare will cost more comfort than any ergonomic claim will give back. This aisle is the repair and adjustment end of a workspace. Desk lamps with adjustable arms and colour temperature. Monitor risers and laptop stands in metal and bamboo. Chair castors, glides, gas lift covers and furniture feet. Shelf brackets and table leg levellers.

What sits next to what

The electronics side is small accessories only — cable clips, sleeves and trays, USB hubs and adapters, cable ties, surge protector mounts, label tape. We do not make the computer; we make the dozen small things that stop the computer taking over the desk. Air flow matters here too: a riser that lifts a laptop two inches is doing thermal work as well as postural work.

Questions we get at the lamps shelf

Are the desk lamps dimmable?

The LED models step through brightness and colour temperature from a touch strip; the clamp task lights are single output. Listings state the lumens either way.

Will a riser hold two monitors?

The wide risers are rated for the weight of two 24-inch panels. The weight limit is in the listing, and that is the number to trust rather than the photo.

Do the hubs need their own power?

The four-port bus-powered hubs do not. Anything feeding a drive or a fast charging port ships with an adapter, and the listing names the amperage.
