  • This item fits 3.5" paring knives regardless of brand. I use one for my expensive Shun paring knife, and one for my inexpensive Mercer paring knife. Both knives are listed at 3 1/2" blade length. The guard does not fall loose. I do not have room on my countertop for a wooded block to hold my knives. My knives need to be able to be tossed into a drawer. This guard really protects the edge from banging against other items in the drawer and creating flaws.

  • These fit my tournet knife which helps keep me safe when storing it. It also fits steak knives and pairing knives. I am happy with this product. I can even put my knife blade in here wet and not worry about rust. I learned that you never put a knife blade wet into a sheath or sleeve because it can encourage rust to form. The openings on the sleeve lets air get to the blade to discourage rust to form.
