What this bin holds

These small convex lenses are designed to focus light and magnify. We find them useful for many lighting applications and for inspecting tiny details.

You will get five clear convex lenses made from borosilicate glass. Each lens has a 4mm (0.16 inch) outer diameter, is 2mm (0.08 inch) high, and has a 4mm (0.16 inch) focal length. Borosilicate glass is chosen for its high resistance to temperature and its high light transmittance, which helps ensure a clear beam spot.

Who takes it home

These lenses are often used in LED spotlights, car lights, and projection lights. They are also helpful for hobbyists who need to magnify small text on labels, books, or menus. For best results, adjust the distance between the lens and the LED to determine the actual focusing angle.
