  • These are the kinds of embroidery hoops I prefer. The wood feels so much nicer to hold, and these are super smooth bamboo. They hold the cloth very tight! The screw on the top is all metal, and even though these come with a screwdriver to help tighten, I haven't needed to use it yet, easier enough to do by hand. These are unfinished, light wood, but they are nice enough that you could use them for display. I also think they would take color well, if you're the artsy type.
