  • Perfect for different color agar generation to separate strains or cultures visibly. The bottles are very solid and sturdy and easily withstand pressure cooking in an Instant Pot for sterilization. Lid says they are good to 140 deg Celsius, or about 284 Fahrenheit. These are extremely useful and handy to have around for culinary mycology. They also serve well as liquid culture storage if you are able to modify the cap with injection ports, etc. They come extremely well protected with foam surrounds and I will probably keep them in there in storage for moving big boxes of bottles around, etc.…

  • Mine came packaged really well and none were broken. The glass is an appropriate thickness to where they shouldn't be very fragile. They don't leak with normal pressure, though I can't say if they would if what was inside them expanded. It's nice to have some measurement markings on the bottle, but I don't know how well those will hold up to chemicals or cleaning yet. I think the price is good for what you get.
