Our 8x8 inch aluminum gable vent is an exterior wall outlet cover for HVAC air. It ensures good ventilation while keeping rainwater out.

This gable vent is made from sturdy aluminum alloy and finished with a uniform white paint coating. Its overall size is 200x200mm (8x8 inch), with an inner size of 170x170mm (6.7x6.7 inch). The slanted louver design keeps rain out, and a mesh cover on the back prevents pests from entering. Mounting hole distances are 93mm and 185mm (3.7 inch and 7.3 inch), and screws are included.

  • I have not actually installed yet, but they will cover my 5" wall vent. I was very pleased with the look and screws included. Some of the past reviews complained of the thin screen on the back of the vents that were loose. I did not have any such problem and they were packaged very well. There were other vent covers that were cheaper, but did not offer any screws and they were usually plastic covers.

  • The only thing that would have made this go much faster during installation would have been a template to locate the holes and cutout. It would have saved about 1/2 the time as I finally made my own.
