What this bin holds

We put together this diamond tile hole saw kit for drilling clean, precise holes. It helps you get through tough materials where a standard drill bit would struggle.

This set includes five diamond hole saws: two 15/64" (6mm) bits, two 5/16" (8mm) bits, and one 3/8" (10mm) bit, all with 50/60 diamond mesh. Each bit has a high-strength steel body that resists deformation and premium diamond grit for lasting sharpness. We also build in wax, so you can start drilling without adding water.

Who takes it home

Our diamond hole saws are for anyone working with medium to high hardness materials like tile, marble, or quartz. These bits fit hand drills and other rotary tools. Start drilling at a 45-degree angle, then move to a vertical position; a gentle circular motion can help you cut faster.

Some of the microwave screws went into studs and others needed toggle bolts to secure it, so I appreciate the range of sizes that this diamond bit set came with. At five bits, the set is a great value. I like how each bit is stored in a plastic threaded tube labeled with the bit size. Although each bit is also labeled, if you drill, you know that the writing on the bits themselves can become worn away with use, so having the…

  • If you have never used these style of bits there's a bit of a learning curve compared to the typical tile or glass bit. First, the speed is and pressure will depend on the type of material you are drilling into, so going slower should be preferable to full throttle. Second, using water is recommended to keep the bit clean and cool. You should also move to different holes or stop every 5 to 10 seconds to let the bit and material being drilled to stay cool. The final thing is that you have to start at an angle and then straighten out after you begin to cut. You don't want to start dead on or…
