We supply 15N20 steel flat bars for making custom knives and other tools. These annealed blanks are ready for you to shape and finish.

You receive two silver flat steel bars, each measuring 12 x 1 1/2 x 1/16 inches (304.8 x 38 x 1.5mm). These blanks are crafted from 15N20 high carbon steel and have been annealed, providing a high level of hardness and toughness suitable for cutting tools. The cold rolling process gives them a smooth surface, making them easier to work with.

  • These 1084 flat bars look like quality steel. They arrived in good shape, dimensions matched what I ordered, and the stock looks clean and consistent. I haven’t put them through a full knife build yet, but based on first impression, this is exactly what you want to see when you open the package: proper thickness, decent finish, and nothing that screams “mystery metal.” So far I’m happy with it and would buy again.
