What this bin holds

Our hex coupling nuts are designed for joining threaded pipes in light fixtures. They provide a secure connection for extending or repairing components.

These coupling nuts are made from carbon steel, which gives them good hardness and resistance to deformation, and they have a zinc coating for rust protection. Each nut has a 1/8-27 (1/8IP) thread size, a 14 mm (0.55 inch) hex width, and is 30 mm (1.18 inches) tall. This makes them durable and long-lasting for various applications.

What makers wrote about this bin

  • I used these to join two threaded lamp rods together with a space between them for wiring to exit the rod. These worked perfectly and was a whole lot easier than drilling a hole in the rod and trying to fish wires through the side! The castings seem to be good quality and the threads fit correctly on the rods.

  • I have an old, antique chandelier that utilized a hard plastic hex coupling nut to join the main stem to the decorative bottom piece. The wires travel down from the ceiling into the top pipe of the chandelier, but then they branch out from the coupling nut in order to travel to the candle-style lights. The threads on the old plastic one eventually stripped, causing the bottom decorative piece to fall out. When I tried to screw in the pipe holding that piece, it went right through the nut and punctured the wires, causing a spark and resulting in a dead chandelier. When I took the chandelier…
