What this bin holds

This 1.7mm carbide drill bit is for industrial work, designed to cut through hardened steels and other tough materials. It gives us stable, precise drilling.

We make these twist drills from cemented carbide for its strength, hardness, and thermal stability. This 1.7mm cutting diameter bit has a 20mm flute length and a 40mm overall length. Its 130° point angle increases contact with the workpiece, helping the drill stay centered and cut cleanly.

Who takes it home

We find this carbide drill useful in machining operations where difficult-to-cut materials like hardened steel, alloy steel, or titanium alloys are common. When you work with it, be sure to use a rigid machine and a high-precision drill chuck to avoid vibration and ensure stability.

What makers wrote about this bin

  • Cut through stainless steel like butter! Excellent value for the money, will buy again if necessary. Although I would not recommend this bit for a hand drill, it would work great for a lathe or drill press.

  • This drill bit drilled right through my hardened steel bar like butter! And I was even using a hand drill, not a bench drill which is what is preferred for steady pressure. I was surprised at how quick and well it worked. Make sure you run your drill at slow speed. Trust the bit :)))

  • Works well in my mini lathe. The bit is very sharp and true to size. I would buy other size drills from this company as the need arises.
